STORYLINE QUEST: Liberation of Salazar

[Lord Pharen]

Intro:Salazar, home of the raging flame, has recently lost its most valuable servant, King Severus. There was no heir to the throne due to the loss of King Severus’ one true love. Only his love for his country and the beauty of fire kept him alive. Now that he is gone, his family argues about who should rule over the kingdom, the Nobles. The Nobles argued fiercely amongst themselves as to who would take over, so fiercely blood was drawn in the courts. The nobles declared war against each other, pitting their countrymen against their own brothers. Many fell quickly due to the swiftness and ferocity of the assaults. Chaos ensued. The Bandit Chief known as Gryffin Claw took advantage of the chaos and marched north, taking complete control of the south domain. Torix, a Lord whose necromancy was unmatched among humans, obliterated his enemies and quickly took over the west domain. Lodrane, an illusionist, controlled the east domain. He used his magic to make it seem as though his army was marching from the opposite side. And Pharen, the first cousin and best friend of King Serverus, controlled the north domain, where the capitol was stationed. His superior tactics have held off the armies of Gryffin Claw, Torix, and Lodrane from further invasion. Salazar is as the raging flame. Can the raging flame ever be tamed?

Lord Pharen has sent 3 courtiers to the towns all over the continent to post advertisements. He needs warriors to help conquer 7 key cities in Salazar. (IT IS A 12 part quest XP).

How the quest works: Ok, so here is the deal on the quest. There are 12 different scenarios. You are only allowed to sign up for ONE scenario. After you sign up for the scenario you are required to make a post. Based on the quality of the post, the staff will tell you if you pass or fail. You only get ONE try, then someone else gets to try. HAVE FUN! XP

[Auroth]

Defend Ilsvaria!

Auroth moved through the streets of Ilsvaria.....his blade perfectly held on his hand as he traveled through the nearly empty city. Word had gotten out long ago that a force of Skeleton Knights were traveling through the country side and would soon be upon the city in a matter of days. That's probably the reason why they hired Auroth, the Lord of Insects. Early one morning as he was staying in Ilsvaria he was summoned by the Salazar Warrior Captain to his quarters. There Auroth was told he would be paid to go and fight off against the invading swarm of Torix Soldiers. The Insect Lord couldn't refuse the offer.....as he was dirt poor and desperately needed to money. He quickly got his spear over his back, his sword in place and prepared himself for a battle....

However though, that was three days ago. Auroth was now hanging around the Forest at the back of the city....talking and communicating to his insect friends as he leaned up against a tree...resting. Suddenly though, this peace was shattered when a messenger came to him from the city side. He quickly rushed to Auroth, in full battle armor and weapons drawn. His insects began to ready themselves in case this was a sneak attack of some sort...but Auroth kept cool and told them to be at rest.

"Auroth!" The warrior said. "Our Scouts report a cadre of Skeleton warriors heading our way!"

"Of course" The Lord of Insects responded a he got up. The bugs around him then entered his body....and sort of disgust the soldier...

Regardless, he headed over to the Northern Wall, and quickly called his insects to create a aura around him. His cold red eyes scanned the area before him...as his bugs began to spread out all over the city...and make sure that there were no sneak attackers coming his way. Quickly something moved in the distance, and Auroth ordered his explosion bugs to be carried by some other insects as he awaited for the thing to reveal itself. Soon enough it did....but it wasn't a skeleton...no...it was a very badly wounded man....un recongizable...But his insects told him that by the way he smelled and looked, he was a man.

This alerted Auroth...as it seemed the scout was captured and horriblied maimed...not only that, he was used as a rouge to get the Salazar warriors elsewhere so that the Skeletal Knights could attack. Suddenly a insect came to Auroth....and buzzed madly around his ear before it re-entered Auroth's body. He looked up at the bright, blue sky a bit....as though seeking help before he jumped down and rushed through the city. A few minutes later, a chorus of screams could be heard all the way in the North Wall in the area Auroth was heading toward. It seemed the Skeletons has attacked the South-West Wall....and already broke threw the weak defenses.

Auroth quickly drew his weapons, his sword out and prepared to Chop as his spear was placed as though it was a forearm. The Insect Lord quickly moved through the streets...until he reached the scene. Already three Salazar warriors were dead, and one was fighting off two Skeletal Knights. Auroth suddenly sent his spear through the Knight's head...killing it immediately as Auroth chopped right through another Skeletal Knight's sword. Then out of now where it appeared a huge shock wave appeared...and killed the Knight Auroth was fighting. It was in fact a mental Shock wave he sent....

Regardless, a Calvary of Salazarians came to the rescue...about 17 came as they engaged 17 skeletal knights. Auroth turned around and sent a swipe to the Knight, but it was stopped and suddenly it raised another blade and attacked Auroth the Insect Lord quickly stopped the blade with his mind and chopped right through the blade...and then right threw the Knight's head. Quickly Auroth moved back after that, and looked down Five Skeletal Knights. Auroth then opened some jars he had one him...revealing about seven Death Leapers. Soon after that he opened some other jars...and out came three huge ugly beasts....Why it was no other then a Acid Worm....a Worm that could shoot acid from it's mouth.

Although these beasts were too big for Auroth to incorporate in his body....he promised them food for them to eat....Well, here was some food for them to eat. Without another act Auroth turned around, leaving the Skeletal Knights to deal with this unholy amount of insects. Already the Death Leapers were going inside the Skeletons and popping out...destroying bones in the Process as his worms began to spit acid and then eat the bones.

Then from his right two Skeletal Knights came, rushing at him. The Insect Lord quickly called up a few Bees and then told them to shoot like bullets at the Knights...anbd they did, destroying the skeletons outright with their dangerously huge needles for butts and unholy speed they gained for eating some of Auroth's energy here and there. The Lord of Insects soon turned to face three Skeletons coming at him. Immediately he broke one of the Knights with his Mind Power...breaking the skeleton in two. Then the other two came at him...and knocked Aidan's spear away from the Lord of Insects. Almost immediately his blade cut right through one of the Skeletons....cutting it in two as the other one rushed at Auroth. It cut Auroth's shoulder a bit....but it was no big deal, the insects in his body soon began to fix upon it...healing the damage done to his body. Then after that Auroth raised his blade and chopped through the Skeleton....thanks to the Sword's Special Ability.

After that, it seemed the Salazar has finished off the last of the Skeletal Knights...although they have only five soldiers left now. It was no big deal...for they have defended the City and that was all that mattered to the Greedy Auroth. Then, from out of now where and Huge Black Knight appeared....and it seemed this guy was the Commanding officer. Quickly it got off it's Mount and drew it's blade...a huge black blade...

Auroth quickly drew his sword up and tried to cut through the attack...but to no avail. This Knight's blade was different....it was enchanted much like Auroth's sword. Regardless, he quickly drew his hand out and sent a shock wave at the Knight...but he didn;t die. instead, Auroth was hit on the head by the Commander's fist and backed away...in pain from the attack. The Knight soon raised his sword once more and cahrged...but the Insect's Lord's shock wave sent the Knight falling to the ground. Auroth then rushed at the Commander, and sent his blade through his back. Amazingly he still got up, and rushed at Auroth once more, slashing at his arm. The pain was intense....but the insects worked busily trying to fix his body. The knight soon went for another slash at Auroth's head...only to get stopped by his blade. Then, after that, he quickly placed his palm on the knights chest...letting his insects drill into the Commander. The Knight then backed off, in pain from the insects flying inside of his armor. Then from behind him Auroth could see his Death Leapers beginning to attack through the armor....biting the Knight as the Leapers started to eat some of the Knight's skin. The Knight, it appeared, was a zombie...although a stronger version of one. Regardless, from behind the creature Auroth could see him Acid worms spitting all over the armor...burning it for other insects to get inside and bite/eat this guy to death....Well, this wouldn't be necessary. The Commander was in a fury of pain...ignoring Auroth as he tried to remove his armor and get rid of the bugs. Quickly Auroth raised both of his hands.....and sent out a shock wave at the Head of the Knight...cutting it off as the rest of the body was devoured by his bugs. It seemed all his insects were alive, except for one Death Leaper and One Acid Worm that were killed by the Skeletal Knights....

Regardless, his job was done...and all he wanted now was his pay....

[Takaru]

Liberating Trelia

Takaru and his 8 allies headed into the town of Trelia.He had been hired by the Lord of Salazar to save this town.Takaru,the greatest Shadow user to live,was gonna help the Lord of Salazar with some petty bandits.They walked into the town with cloaks on,there were 2 reasons for the cloaks,the first was to hide their faces from this bandits,just in case any survived and went for help,the second,was to allow then into the town seeming as simple travelers,drawing the bandits into their trap.Under his cloak,Takaru's sword was read,but was ignited in its black flame just yet.

As they passed through the gates of the town two 4 bandits stepped infront of them and blocked their path.Takaru looked at them through the cloak and listened.

"Hold it right there.If you wanna pass through this town you are gonna have to pay us with money,or a valuable item.So,what will it be?"The bandit said with a grin on his face.

"Neither."

"Neither!?You got alot of balls to say that.But alot of balls dont mean squat when you are dead."

"You are the only ones who are gonna die this day."

Takaru then shadow stepped and ended up behind one of them.His rapier now burning a cold,black flame of hate.With enough energy to pierce the toughest of chain mail.

"Boo."

The bandit shivered and then turned around.As soon as he did Takaru shot his rapier into his gut and yanked it out.The bandit's body fell over on its face.Blood dripping from the rapier,Takaru whipped it off on the bandit's clothes and looked at the others.

"Whose next?"

The bandits where stunned.They didnt move as they just looked at him.Then,out of no where the Salazar warriors ran to them and sent side ward slashes at the bandits heads,decapitating them.As they were done the alarms went off as the other bandits arrived.

Takaru and the warriors didnt say a word as they looked at the bandits.It was a quiet battlefield,soon to be filled with bodies,blood,and the sound of clashing metal.The dirt blew in the wind as it slowly blocked visibility between the two groups.After the dust passed the battle began.

The groups dashed towards each other with the intent to kill.Their blades,thirsting for blood.Ready to feed.

As they neared each other they swung swords.Takaru and 7 of the warriors fought the lower-class bandits while on of the warriors ran at the brutes.He was no match for them as they sliced him into pieces,first severing his head from his body and then cutting off his limbs.The brutes were strong.

Takaru and the others were holding off the brutes.Takakru sent a side ward slash at one of the bandits killing him instantly,he then turned to another that had almost finished off one of his warriors and sent a weak dark wave at him,just enough to burn his body to ashes.He then let 6 of the warriors hold off the other bandits as he and 2 others went at the brutes.They appeared to be very strong but not very bright.But they were built up so it might take awhile to beat them.Takaru let the two warriors handle one of the brutes while he took on one by himself.

Takaru ran at the brute and jumped sending a slash heading downward only to have it blocked by the bandits axe,he then pushed Takaru back with a strong slash to his rapier.Takaru landed on his feet about 10 ft away from the bandit.He dashed toward him and split into 3 solid clones.They ran and surrounded the brute bandit.

The two clones shot two dark waves at the bandit hitting his body cause a smoky explosion,the blasts didnt kill the brute but they did do some damage.The brute's visibility was now 0 giving Takaru and advantage.He then powered up his rapier even more.He then used his night eye to look through the smoke.The explosion was a large one so smoke cover a large amount of the area.

After scanning for a few seconds he found the brute flailing about,swinging his axe wildly.The 3 Takarus then closed in on him as they prepared an assault.One of the clones ran up behind the brute and sent a stab to his back.The bandit felt the stab in the back and quickly sent a spinning slash at the clone knocking it back.Takaru absorbed the clone and some of the pain it had sustained but it soon subsided.The brute was now bleeding from his back as he had a look of pain on his face.The smoke had finally cleared and visibility was back up.

The brute bandit then charged at the other clone with a strong downward slash of his axe cutting the clone across the chest knocking it back.Takru absorbed that clone also feeling a sharp pain across his chest.He disregarded the pain and looked at the brute.Takaru then empowered his sword to the max as he ran towards the brute.He didn't have much energy left so he had to finish this fast.As Takaru got close enough the brute sent another downward slash.Takaru jumped back to dodge it and then ran at the brute and jumped sending his fully empowered rapier into the brutes head.He soon fell over and died as Takaru landed gracefully on his feet with some energy left.

Takaru turned to see the Salazar warriors finishing off the other brute.They ran at it sending stabs into his gut and the exact same time and then jumping into the air bringing their swords down with great might slicing off the brutes arms.The brute died of blood loss as it landed close to his counterpart.

The other Salazar warriors had the brutes finished as they decapitated the lasting brutes.But they did lose 3 warriors.The battle was over and the town was liberated.There was 3 casualties but atleast there werent more.The warriors rejoiced at the sight as they had liberated one of their cities.Now they could report back to the kingdom with their victory.

Takaru's job was now done.He just wanted to regain his energy,get his pay and move on to his next job.

I added a few things if you don’t mind.

Tereal made his way on top of a horse followed by two Salazar warriors on both his sides Tereal didn’t like the idea of fighting for the Salazar Kingdom but it a Civil war amongst them self’s and may be if he fought he could bring Justice to his fathers name, and bring the Crimson Legion bag to it’s former glory and clear the name of his father Nero and bring a new just ruler to the Kingdom he once called home. Tereal rode on for a few more minutes the two warriors by his side, Tereal knew his men would hold strong but as for the failing army of the Salazar kingdom he wouldn’t know his men’s attitude toward them would they cooperate with the Salazar soldiers or would Tereal return facing a new battle at hand. Tereal made his way into the forest out side of one of the supply trains scheduled stops so they could let the troops guarding it rest up a bit, this is where Tereals unit came into action he looked around seeing the combined forces of Salazar and Crimson Legions banners flying side beside as they stopped there archers letting loose a volley of Fire arrows upon the men.

It had begun the supply depot was now on fire and the men defending it had idiotically followed the main attack force witch was a decoy to attract the main force to move to another area far away, giving Tereal’s task force along with two other task forces to move in and get there job done, Tereal dismounted his horse followed by the two Salazar men they moved out from the brush and made there way toward the mining village Tereal noticed a man turn the corner of a small building. One of the Salazar men rushed the Guard sending his sword downward slashing into the shoulder missing it’s target, Tereal then came up behind the Salazar warrior sending his sword slashing outward taking the guard and the warrior by surprise the warrior ducked as the blade could be heard scraping his helm and the sound of the blade slicing through flesh as it cut the head of the guard’s head off. Tereal grinned as he snapped his fingers sending the guard busting into flames Tereal smiled a bit as he turned around wiping the blood off his blade then sheathing it, Tereal looked at the two warriors and nodded as he walked ahead of them. Tereal moved his hand up as he peered around a corner seeing the other task force of six run up to a couple of guards slicing them down easily, Tereal looked around then he began to run off followed by the two other warriors. They were nearing there target the main caravan being protected by six guards, Tereal stopped and pulled him self up on too a building to get a better look of the surroundings as he moved up he laid flat on his stomach his mask covered his face. Tereal peered out over the point of the buildings roof too see the main caravan sitting by it’s self there it was seven cart’s full of many needed supplies, Tereal smiled as he slid back down falling off the roof and landing on his feet.

“ I’ve Found it lets move and get this job done there’s six guards like they said, make it quick so we can get out of here.” Tereal said drawing his sword and holding it in one hand as he ran to a corner his free hand on his sheath as he ran, Tereal turned the corner rushing at one of the guards jumping into the air bringing his sword down the guard blocked with his broad sword but Tereal had a plan already as the two Salazar warriors came running at the guard thrusting there swords into the man. The warriors withdrew there weapons from his body just as fast as they entered Tereal hit the ground and nodded as he moved his sword out in front of him as the other five guards came running, Tereal moved his hands up ready to let loose a fire attack but a loud explosion was heard behind them as a black and red cloud rose into the air that must have been the second task force getting there job done. Tereal quickly turned back rushing forward tacking this chance to his advantage as he slashed out at one of the guards making contact with his armor slicing through it but barely sneering his flesh, the man jumped back as the two other warriors charged Tereal snapped his fingers sending a flame searing the flesh of one guards face and burning the armor setting it on fire. One of the warriors sent his sword into the guard with the flaming armor as the other charged engaging in battle with another Tereal charged sending he blade in a downward slash cutting the chest of the guard with the burnt face, Tereal smiled as he spun around slicing his stomach open but was soon feeling a sword slicing through his back Tereal jumped forward the turned around quickly snapping his fingers sending a red lighting like thing rushing at the man that had sliced his back as it hit his body exploded into flames pushing everyone back.

“Hurry while there down!” Tereal yelled as he turned to see one of the warriors get a blade across the chest Tereal charged at the guard sending a blade at his head but he blocked it pushing Tereal back a few, he jumped into the air sending his blade down ward as he his blade meet the guards his feet landed on the ground Tereal then rose his blade up and spun around and brought it down as he faced the opposite direction of the guard (back facing to him) and he too crouched as he turned as he felt a sword hit the tip of his helm, as he continued the blade meet the stomach of the guard. Tereal rose back up he looked back to see the other warrior get forced back into a wall by the last remaining guard they had both been injured Tereal rushed forward sending his blade thrusting forward but the guard jumped back sending the hilt of his sword into Tereal’s back forcing him to the ground, the warrior sent his blade into the chest of the guard moving him back Tereal pushed him self up back to his feet the guard and the warrior engaged in battle Tereal soon joined in as the warrior, Tereal and guard exchanged slashes and thrusts Tereal grew tired of this last remaining obstacle as the guard pushed Tereal sliding back and the hilt of his sword hitting the back of the warriors back as he tried to thrust his blade into the guard. Tereal ran forward at the sword went back into the air this time for a finishing blow on to the warrior, Tereal ran using the warrior as a stepping stone jumping over the guard the tip of the sword passing the tip of his nose Tereal landed the guard turned around blade still in the air only to find Tereal on one knee and his left hand raised up his thumb and index finger rubbing against each other snapping and the guard busted into flames dropping the sword he ran around soon falling to the ground the flames engulfing his body.

Tereal walked over to the warrior on his knees checking him over helping him to his feet, Tereal then ran over to the other warrior who was fine enough he just need some bandages that he would be getting soon do to the now successful mission of getting the supplies, Tereal helped the man to his feet as he leaned on Tereal the other warrior holding his sides as they walked to the front of the caravan seeing the forces of Salazar and Crimson Legion marching toward them the sun set behind Tereal and the Two Salazar Warriors who’s names he never knew but there faces chiseled into his mind never forgetting them as the army approached only seeing the Caravan and the silhouettes oh three men standing in front of it.
