I would sugest having a lvl system based on the severity of the spell depending on how much exp you have USING that particula spell the power of it is increased that way a novice cant use some bone crushing spell without your body being about to redirect the enegy from his blast back at him if you need help with this idea (if you consider it to be as good as I do) contact me and we will work on the details to ballence everything out together

I always try and avoid these things through plot situations. For example, in this board my character is a powerful mage, but his magical combat skills are lacking incomparison. I always assumed that the stats were in relation to combat alone.

what im saying is how can your char be a powerful mage in a craft without some reason why they are ( aka) exp using that particular spell

Although im pretty sure we have to start as beggier mages not powerfull mages (daven) although a staff member could best clairify that. anyways the idea of spell levels is i believe a good idea however it would likely turn into a large topic that would be quite trickey to figure out, wow i had a huge post that said pretty much this , but i was a little harsh on daven with the mage thing

Hmm... Maybe you can only use certain spells with so much energy? I'll think of something... But not like to restrict from bonecrushing. Like fatal spells you would have to have 30 energy or something...

spell levels could be based on the amount of times and also raited by the magcial str you have (divide times used into magical power and thats how strong overall that one spell is this sounds like a plan
