You begin with 60 points. Destribute them among the six stats. Every level you have increases your stat cap. The stat cap increases by 5 each level. So, as a rookie, u can have a max of 20. Adept, 25. Etc.
10 is average for a stat. A well rounded char is:
Power- 10 Agility- 10 Constitution- 10 Intelligence- 10 Foresight- 10 Energy- 10
This isnt a "bad" choice, but it isnt good either. It is good to have an idea of what your character will be.
A character that uses "buffing" magics that up stats could focus on being a melee character. A good melee character would be:
Power- 15 Agility- 8 Constitution- 12 Intelligence- 7 Foresight- 8 Energy- 10
The 10 in energy is kept for effectiveness in the buffs. The high power and constitution is needed for melee. The agility and foresight are lowered a bit to give to power and constitution. The intelligence however, can recover as time goes on, so no big loss there.
It is all about getting stats corresponding to what you want to be.
